Sandra Bocanegra
Founder & President
"I arrived in the United States with two daughters, two suitcases, and $2,000 in my pocket. What I discovered along the way was the power of community."
Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Sandra arrived in the United States with two young daughters, two suitcases, and only $2,000 in her pocket. Through determination, community support, and a commitment to creating opportunities for others, she founded Community for Her to help individuals build confidence, develop skills, expand networks, and create brighter futures.
Today, she leads initiatives focused on empowerment, leadership, youth development, cultural exchange, and community impact throughout the Houston area and beyond.
